Obverse
Coat of arms of Afghanistan adopted in 2002 consisting in a mosque with two Afghan flags. Inside the mosque, some steps which guide to the mehrab with a prayer rug inside. Surrounding the mosque, sheaves of wheat linked with a sunrise and the date of Afghanistan’s independence (1298 / Ϋ±Ϋ²ΫΉΫΈ) according to the Persian calendar. In the bottom, a ribbon with the name of the country in Pashto.
